Bluetooth is an open wireless protocol for transferring information within small areas from set and transportable devices. Like in some wired connection LAN (Local Area Network) is established, Bluetooth does PAN i.e. Personal Area Network. If a Nokia Mobile phone supports Bluetooth connections. Then it is usually activated from the menu item titled Connect, Connections or Connectivity. The properties visible in that menu are as follows:
Bluetooth Active: – Select yes to enable Bluetooth and No to disable
My Phone Visibility: – Two Radio Buttons are seen one is visible to all and another is hidden
My Mobile Name: – Specify a specific name for your mobile which is seen by other users connecting to your device.
The Bluetooth range initially was 10 meters. But now-a-days because of growth of technology there are cell phones having 100 meters range.
