Bluetooth and Internet On Blackberry

Bluetooth: Bluetooth is a wireless technology that can be used to connect electronic devices that support it. It can be used to transfer data, to enable wireless headsets etc. In many BlackBerrys, Bluetooth is restricted to usage of headsets only and cannot be used for file transfers. Although this may seem like a restriction, in truth on the older BlackBerry mobile phones that have this restriction, you’re unlikely to want to use the Buetooth for anything other than speaking through a headset.
A variety of Bluetooth headsets can be used and transfer speeds are quite good. Options are limited to the standard on/off, visibility etc.
Internet: A BlackBerry’s forte is undoubtedly its e-mail, and what good would e-mail be without internet. That said, on a BlackBerry there are numerous ways to get online depending on your model. There’s EDGE (Enhanced GPRS), 3G, Wi-Fi and as a fallback there’s always CDMA and GSM networks. Some internet related features are:

Push e-mail: This allows you to receive e-mails as soon as they’re delivered to the mail server. This feature can be customized for up to 10 individual POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail addresses per phone.
Attachment viewer: This feature allows you to view any Word, PowerPoint or Excel document in your e-mail. However, you cannot edit them.
Browser: Most new BlackBerry phones have full HTML browsers that you can use in either Firefox or Internet Explorer modes so you can access any website in their full versions without needing to view compressed or mobile versions. Features like map-applications, bookmarks, search engines etc. are all available. There’s also a spell-check that checks your e-mail for spelling or grammar errors and suggests alternates to you like Microsoft Word.
Streaming: Streaming from websites like YouTube or MetaCafe is now possible through BlackBerry phones and works perfectly but only if you’re on a 3G network.
