As they say learning process is never over. Same is true at MOTOROLA. After the huge success of Motorola Razr V3, it has come up with Motorola Razr V3x. Launched in 2005, Razr V3x works on 2G network on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. And that’s not it. It even works on 3G on UMTS 2100. Having been nominated as the Best 3G mobile phone at the 3GSM congress, Razr V3x is a non-OS phone.

Motorola Razr V3x has specifications of 99 x 55 x 20 mm, 89 cc. Comparing with V3, it may not be that sleek but it is loaded with many extra features and applications. Razr V3x weights 125 grams. Internally, the keypad has a stylish silver colored metal finish.

Motorola Razr V3x comes with a primary display of TFT type with 256K colors. Razr V3x has a screen resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It has dimensions of 2.2 inches, 33 x 45 mm. The secondary display is 65 K colors STN having a resolution of 96 x 80 pixels. The external display shows the time, battery life, signal strength, and caller ID. Thus comparing with V3, all the features are enhanced to a great extent.

Motorola Razr V3x has an internal memory of 64 MB. This can hold 1000 phone book entries with each entry comprising of 20 fields. But unlike V3, the memory can be extended up to 2 GB using external memory Micro SD card slot.

Motorola Razr V3x features include GPRS with 32-48 kbps speed. It also has 3G with 384 kbps. It has Bluetooth v1.2 with A2DP. Also it can be connected to the computer using the Mini USB. Razr V3x has a 2 MP camera with a resolution of 1600×1200 pixels and a flash too, to complement the camera. There is a secondary VGA videocall camera too.

Impressive till now, but we are not done yet. Motorola Razr V3x applications include SMS, MMS, EMS, Email and Instant Messaging facilities. Apart from this one can access the internet using the WAP 2.0/xHTML. Razr V3x is loaded with built-in games but additional games can be downloaded from internet too. In addition Razr V3x has a MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player.

Motorola Razr V3x has a Standard battery, Li-Ion (BC60) 840 mAh. This enough to keep the phone running for 250 hours on Stand-By mode and gives 5 hours of Talk Time. This is very impressive for a phone with two color displays.

Priced in the range of 8K to 8.5 K, Motorola Razr V3x has the features to justify the cost. Now Motorola V3x is not for those who like to pose with their phone. This phone is rather for those who are in need of a clamshell phone with cutting edge technology but at the same time not willing to pay extra money for design.
