Nokia 5800 Xpress music was announced in October 2008. It’s basically targeted for the the Asian countries that prefer hand writing recognition in their phone. The Nokia 5800 Xpress music thus has a stylus input option. It works on 2G network as well as 3G networks. The 2G network works in GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and the 3G network works in HSDPA 850 / 1900 – American version .
The LCD at 640×360 is very impressive, though color and brightness is not one of its plus points. The screen being dull, which certainly does cut down the glare doesn’t seem attractive to common users who prefer watching videos and movies on a glossy screen. There are huge speakers present on the back of the phone .These speakers are very efficient and are most likely to be the clearest ones in this world.
The 3.2 megapixel camera is very clear and focuses well, its use is ideal in daylight. Like most of the camera phones it’s not very efficient indoors, but the phone consists of a powerful LED flash which removes the problem. The camera even boasts of additional things like GPS, WiFi and a side-loading microSD slot. The package also consists of a free 8GB card. The phone being rather bulky does not make it comfortable for daily use.
The phone consists of common features like Bluetooth and speaker phones .The approximate weight of the phone comes to about 109 Gms and thus is quiet heavy to carry around. The phone has a resistive touch screen and practically unlimited entries and fields. The phone is available in three vibrant colors namely black, red and blue. The mobile phone does allow easy texting due to its touch screen keypad which can be very annoying as some times you have to slow down because of the phones incapability to catch up. The Nokia 5800 Xpress music is thus a great buy for people who are truly looking for a great music experience where as the others who are looking at a comfortable, easy to carry mobile phone may just give it the skip.
