The Nokia 6070 was announced in the February of the year 2006, for the price of Rs. 4,000. The Nokia 6070 is the basic camera phone, which has features such as a VGA camera (640 x 480 pixels), Video camera, FM stereo radio, MP3 ringtones, Voice dialing & speed dialing, Voice recorder, Java games and Integrated hands free speaker. The Nokia 6070 has dimensions 105 x 44 x 19 mm and weighs an 88 g; the phone is available in the sole color of silver.
The Nokia 6070 has a very poor memory, can just store about 20 dialed, 20 received and 20 missed calls with an internal memory of just 3.2 MB with no space for other cards. The Nokia 6070 has a 1.8 inch display screen of 128 x 160 pixels and downloadable screen savers and wall papers. The Nokia 6070 has a FM stereo radio of good quality; The Nokia 6070 comes with, true tones, MP3 ringtones and polyphonic ringtones, while more ringtones can also be downloaded. The Nokia 6070 runs on a Standard battery, Li-Ion 760 mAh (BL-5B), with stand by up to 300 hours and talk time up to 3 hours.
The Nokia 6070 has additional features such as Push to talk which enables the user to talk to a contact with just a simple push of a button, the phone also has a couple of useful voice features such as the Voice commander, voice memo and the voice player. The Nokia 6070 can text SMS, MMS, Emails and Instant Messages. Although the Nokia 6070 has an infra red the blue tooth is missing from the phone. The drawbacks of the Nokia 6070 include the limited memory, unattractive design, no additional card slots and absence of blue tooth.
On the whole the Nokia 6070 is just a basic, entry level camera phone, with limited number of features but it gives a good value for its petty cost. The Nokia 6070 is apt for the college going youngsters.
