The Nokia 6270 was announced in the June of the year 2005 and is available for the price of Rs. 9,000 in the Indian markets. The Nokia 6270 has key features such as a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, stereo speakers with 3D effects; an Aluminum body and QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) display resolution. The Nokia 6270 also has blue tooth and infrared. The mobile phone is a rather bulky slider phone with dimensions 104 x 50 x 23 mm and the phone weigh 125 g. The Nokia 6270 comes in two colors of light blue and dark brown.

The Nokia 6270 uses a Standard battery, Li-Ion 970 mAh (BL-5C) with stand by up to 240 hours and talk time up to 5 hours. A stereo headset HS-23, a 128MB miniSD card and a USB cable CA-53 are the accessories which come along with the Nokia 6270. The key pad is well spaced which ensures a good typing speed to the user, most of the function including talking on the phone can done without having to open the phone.

The Nokia 6270 has a 2 mega pixel camera with the maximum resolution of 1600 X 1280 pixels, the camera on the phone is not very impressive as it is rather slow and takes 9-10 seconds to take a picture. Even the picture quality is average on the Nokia 6270 as color blotches are visible on the photographs. The user can either connect the phone to the PC though the USB cable, blue tooth or the infra red. The Nokia 6270 has internal memory up to 9MB and card slots for miniSD, 5 MB memory card and hot swap.

The Nokia 6270 has one java enabled game while more games are downloadable, the phone can send SMS, MMS, Emails, Instant Messages. The main USP of the Nokia 6270 is its low cost which one must consider buying the Nokia 6270 in India because of its multiple features at an affordable price.
