The Nokia 6681 smart phone was launched in India in 2005, and is similar to the very popular Nokia 6680. The key features of this phone are its Design and high-class finish, The Active standby mode, a 1.3 MP camera, Lens protected by an active cover and an improved internet browser and e mail client. With the dimensions of 108.4 x 55.2 x 20.5 mm and weight of 131 g the Nokia 6681 is very much similar to the Nokia 6680; even the exterior design is almost the same. The phone is not really light weighted but has a convenient key pad lay out making the phone user friendly. The Nokia 6681 is available in two colors which are Electric Blue and Pearl White.
The Nokia 6681 has a high quality camera of 1.3 megapixels, and a protective slide for the lens. The camera also has a 6x zoom and a flash with the range of 1.5m. The Nokia 6681 also sports video recording facilities. The images can either be transferred to the PC or to a compatible printer directly from the phone. The Nokia 6681 has a vast memory which can store practically unlimited entries in the phone book and detailed call records are present for a maximum of thirty days. The Nokia 6681 also has an internal memory of 8 MB and card slots for RS-DV-MMC, Hot swap and a 64 MB card which is included with the phone.
The Nokia 6681 runs on a Standard, Li-Ion 900 mAh (BL-5C) battery and offers a talk time up to 6 hours with a stand by up to 240 hours. The Nokia 6681 also supports SMS, MMS, Email and Instant Messaging. All tough the Nokia 6681 is a cost effective phone but it has various drawbacks such as it Works with only RS-MMC Dual Voltage cards, Dictaphone’s capacity is limited to only one minute and the phone does not possess a radio. Otherwise the Nokia 6681 is highly purposeful as a business phone and the phone does attract attention through its vibrant colors.
