The Nokia E51 was launched in the Indian markets in the September of the year 2007. The Nokia E51 is available in the Indian markets for the price of Rs. 11,350. the Nokia E51 has key features such as Quad-band GSM/3G (with HSDPA 3.6 Mbps), EDGE and GPRS support, 12 mm slim design, Symbian 9.2 OS Series, 130 MB onboard memory, Very comfortable keyboard, Fast user interface and  Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. The Nokia E51 has dimensions of 114.8 x 46 x 12 mm and weighs about 100 gms. Thus the phone is a bit on the heavier side. The Nokia E51 mobile phone is available in three color options of black, silver and brown.

The Nokia E51 runs on a Standard battery, Li-Ion 1050 mAh (BP-6MT) which offers stand by up to 310 hours and talk time up to 4 hours and 20 minutes. The Nokia E51 has an internal memory up to 130 MB which can store practically unlimited number of entries in the phone book and detailed call records for a maximum of 30 days. The Nokia E51 has card slots for microSD (Trans Flash), an 8 GB memory card and hot swap.

The Nokia E51 is equipped with a 2 mega pixel camera with out an auto focus, flash and zoom. The Nokia E51 has an FM radio with support for visual radio; the phone can store up to 50 radio stations. The main disadvantages of the Nokia E51 are that  the 2 megapixel camera has  no autofocus or flash, the phone doesn’t charge when connected via USB, the Voice dial works well only with English names and the phone can not edit office documents.

The additional features of the Nokia E51 include the Push to talk feature which can be used when 3G services are available, MP3/AAC/video player, Document viewer, Voice command, voice memo and the organizer. The main USP of the Nokia E51 is its affordable price, sleek design and multi tasking ability and hence for any one who is looking for a phone with in the range of 10-12000, this might be just suit his choice.
