Sagem MY 501X was announced in 2006, March. The SAGEM MY 501X works on 2G network on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. Its design is similar to a basis phone but has many add on features. SAGEM MY 501X has specifications of 100 x 46 x 16.5 mm. The screen display is 176 x 220 pixels, 1.9 inches. Despite these well sized dimensions, the weight is just 90 grams. The display type is TFT, 256K colors. Thus it has a wider screen and a spacious keypad for effective usage while messaging or dialing numbers.

Sagem MY 501X has a built in memory of 32 MB and can be expanded with the help of a Mini SD memory card. The built in memory can store up to 20 dialed, received and missed calls each.

Sagem MY 501X features like MMS, Email and internet. The Sagem MY 501Xhas with a WAP 2.0/xHTML as the internet browser. MY 501X is a java enabled phone with MIDP 2.0. Apart from these features MY 501X comes with an MP3 player too. The loud speaker too is a great treat to listen to. So overall it has a complete entertainment package.

The Sagem MY 501X mobile phone has standard Li-ion battery giving the user up to 3 hours and 30 minutes of talk time & up to 250 hours of standby time. This is by all means enough for some one who is constantly on the move.

Sagem MY 501X applications include a Bluetooth and a GPRS facility of Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots) with a speed of 32 – 48 kbps.  Sagem MY 501X comes with a 1.3 MP 1280 x 1024 pixels camera with video recording feature too. The USB connection is a 2.0 version enabling high speed data transfers up to 480 Mbytes per second.
