The Sagem my700X handset has tried to build itself around the idea of the iPod; the handset sports a roughly similar finish. The white color option of the handset with that pink backlight, is quite girlish.
The handset is little, light and the feel of it in the palm is nice. The specifications of the Sagem MY700X are 106 x 46 x 15 mm in size and weight, just 95 grams. It has a 256K TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution. The face of the phone is quiet simple. The keypad design is strange, making it show bolder than the screen and the ring design for the keypad makes the keypad feel a little weird. On the left side of the handset are the volume control buttons and below it has a music player hotkey. The hotkey works only when the keypad is unlocked obviously and helps to starts and stops music playback.
The right side of the phone has the miniSD memory card slot and the connectivity port is at the bottom of the phone. The back of the phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera which doesn’t have any lens cover but the lens is well protected behind the plastic. Another feature of the Sagem MY700X is that it comes bundled with a wired and wireless headset option to let you benefit from your much loved music just the way you like it. Both the headset options are stereo; so the experience is amazing. The phone is well prepared with connectivity options. It has GPRS as well as EDGE which gives faster internet connectivity. It has Bluetooth v2.0 with support for A2DP and USB connectivity as well. The battery of the my700X is a standard Li-Ion battery. The handset promises 5 hours of talktime and around two weeks of standby time.
The price of the Sagem MY700X is Rs.13500 in India. All and all, the my700X is not a bad handset and an efficient buy with in its price range.
