The Sagem MYX-7 offers all standard set of features: SMS, EMS, MMS, WAP 2.0 and GPRS (Class 10) and Java MIDP 2.0. It has a large 65K color screen, a VGA camera with video recording, 4 MB of storage memory, GPRS/MMS support and Java support as well. It has Infrared and USB connectivity.

The specifications of the Sagem MYX-7 are 10 x 4.6 x 2.2 cm in size and weighs around 106grams, but the phone fits at ease in the hand and also in your jeans pocket. The phone has a 3.2 x 4 cm 65K color screen – quite large in size, but its resolution is an ordinary 128 x 160 pixels. One of the features of the Sagem MYX-7 is a vga camera. Pictures can be taken in VGA resolution (640 x 480 pixels) or mobile format (120 x 160 pixels).

Videos go up to an utmost of 100 Kb, which can be anywhere between 9 to 17 seconds only. But it plays back videos longer than that, which is not taken from the handset. The camera comes with a sliding cover that helps guard the lens from dust and dirt. The voice quality is good, but ringtones (polyphonic) are really barely audible and low quality. They aren’t very loud moreover, so it’s very easy to miss a call when outside. To add salt to the wound, none of the ringtones are even worth listening to. There is no FM radio as well. The handset gives a good battery life. In standard mode, it gives around four hours of talk time and up to five days of standby with low usage.

The Sagem MYX-7 is available for Rs.10000 in India.  It’s a got a decent set of features for the price it offers – color screen, VGA camera with video, Infrared, 4 MB of storage space and average good battery life.
