The Sony Ericsson C702 is a mid-range 3G handset that offers a lot for the money. Its star features are GPS satellite positioning joint with Google Maps. It’s built for out-of-doors, being splash proof and dust defiant. In addition the Sony Ericsson C702 is equipped with an outstanding set of features that include a 3.2 megapixel camera, a music player, an FM radio and high-speed 3G internet (HSDPA).

The handset is Available in Cool Cyan and Speed Black. The phone feels rough enough. The Sony ericsson c702 is a good size and weight (not too big or too small) as far as the specifications are concerned, and has a good-sized screen as well. However, the joystick / navigation key is not to be very fond of, and the buttons are fairly small too.

Being a cyber shot phone of the best features of the Sony ericsson c702 is its 3.2 mega pixel camera with face detection and auto focus, digital zoom and LED flash.

The star feature of the Sony Ericsson C702 is its Assisted GPS. It will help you find your location and show you where you are on Google Maps. This is definitely a great feature for any outside activity, and will be useful for anyone wanting to find their way around the city as well. Music-wise it may not be a Walkman phone, but it has a fully-featured music player and FM radio. You can listen to music with conventional headphones or an optional Bluetooth wireless stereo headset. The internal memory of the phone is 150 Mbytes which is enough to store approximately 40 songs. You can add a Memory Stick Micro to increase storage up to 4 GB.

Battery life is standard, but the keypad and joystick are to some extent fiddly. The phone moreover has a tendency to freeze or switch off.

The Sony Ericsson C702 is a good phone. Of course it doesn’t have all the features of the high-end phones, but if you consider the price of the phone, it compares very favorably with other mid-range phones.
