Successor to the Sony Ericsson K610 and Sony Ericsson K610i, the K530i was announced in the Indian market in June of 2007. It works on 2G Network on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G Network on UMTS 2100. K530i has dimensions of 102 x 46 x 14 mm and weighs 92 g. It has size of 176 x 220 pixels, 2.0 inches and supports polyphonic, MP3 and AAC ringtones.
Sony Ericsson K530i can store up to 1000 phone book entries and supports Photo Calling. It displays the list of the last 30 received calls, missed calls and dialed numbers. K530i has an internal memory of 16 MB and an additional Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot which can be expanded to a maximum of 2GB.
K530i not only has support for GPRS and HSCSD but also supports 3G technology. For connecting to other mobile devices K530i uses Bluetooth technology. It does not have an Infrared Port but has a USB Port for connecting to other computer devices.
Sony Ericsson K530i has a 2 MP, 1600×1200 pixel camera with Video Support. Sony Ericsson K530i support Video Calling as well. It uses a WAP 2.0/x HTML; HTML (Net Front) with RSS feed Browser to surf the internet through the mobile device itself.
Sony Ericsson K530i is equipped with Stereo FM radio with RDS and comes in two colors Warm Silver and Thunder Black. It is also equipped with applications and software such as MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player, Track ID music recognition, T9 Technology, Picture blogging, Picture editor, Organizer and Voice memo.
K530i uses a Li-Po 950 mAh (BST-33) Standard Battery which has a standby time of 395 hours and talk time of 9 hours for 2G and 3 hours for 3G.
Sony Ericsson K530i comes at an Indian Market Price of Rs 11000. Overall it provides more features such as 3G technology and Video Calling than nearly any other phone available in this range thus making it a good buy for people looking at getting their hands on the latest technologies without spending a fortune.
