Sony Ericsson S302 a.k.a Ericsson Snapshot was announced in June 2008. Sony Ericsson is trying its level best to do away its image of building just walkman phones. S302 is Sony’s attempt to build good quality camera phones. Sony Ericsson S302 works on 2G network on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Since it works on quad band it is globally operational. Sony Ericsson S302 has specifications of 101 x 46 x 12 mm. S302 weighs just 79 grams. Thus as the name suggests, S302 is a slim phone which you can take out of our pocket and take a snapshot whenever you like and with utmost ease and comfort.

Sony Ericsson S302 has a display of TFT type, 256K colors with a screen resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, 2.0 inches. S302 comes in Thunder Grey and Crystal Blue colors. All this gives Sony Ericsson S302 a sophisticated and cool look.

Sony Ericsson S302 has an internal memory of 20 MB. This is enough to store to 1000 phone book entries. It also can store up to 30 entries for Missed, Received and Dialed calls each. The memory can be expanded up to 4GB using Memory Stick Micro (M2). Thus one can store more than 300 songs depending upon the length of the songs.

Sony Ericsson S302 applications include GPRS and EDGE. S302 also has Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. It also has a USB port for file transfer. Thus connectivity wise it has all the features that a multi media phone should have.

Sony Ericsson S302 features include SMS, MMS and Email facility. S302 also has a FM radio. It is a Java enabled phone with MIDP 2.0. S302 has a MP3 player. Also other great features include TrackID music recognition and a Built-in handsfree.

Now speaking about the camera which is the main high light of the phone. Sony Ericsson S302 has a 2 MP camera with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. It also has a LED flash thus enabling the user to take snapshots at night too. It also has a video recording facility.

Sony Ericsson S302 has a Standard Li-Ion battery. It has got a Stand–By time of 300 hours and a Talk Time of 7 hours. Thus the battery life is good.

Sony Ericsson S302 is priced at Rs. 6500. Thus S302 might be a good choice for those looking for an affordable camera phone. Bottom line is that the Camera as well as good music quality at a very low price. It’s tough to find a phone with these attributes.
