Similar to W800 Sony Ericsson W810i belongs to family of Walkman phones developed by Sony Ericsson. Announced in the Indian Market in the first quarter of 2006 W810i works on 2G network on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. It has dimensions of 100 x 46 x 19.5 mm and weighs 99 g. W810i has a size of 176 x 220 pixels, 1.9 inches, 30 x 38 mm and has support for polyphonic, MP3 and AAC ringtones which can be set as various alerts.

W810i can store up to 1000 phone book entries and has photo call facility. Sony Ericsson W810i has a very easily accessible keypad which goes well with the looks of the phone. It displays the last 30 received calls, missed calls and dialed numbers. W810i has an internal memory of 20 MB along with a Memory Stick Duo Pro Card Slot which can be expanded up to 4 GB which allows you to store around 1000 of your favorite tracks which you can hear using the inbuilt MP3 player.

W810i uses a Li-Po 900 mAh (BST-37) Standard Battery which has a standby time of 350 hours and talk time of up to 8 hours.  One drawback of this phone is while playing music if a call comes through the phone stops playing the music and plays the ring tone which can get irritating especially if you are listening to your favorite track.

W580i has support for GPRS, HSCSD and 3G technology, but like most phones of its range it does not provide support for 3G and WLAN. W580i has a primary 2 MP, 1632×1224 pixels camera with autofocus, LED flash and Video Support. Even though it has a 2MP camera the video tends to have a blurry effect when shifted really fast from one place to another. It also has issues while processing a picture in areas such as zooming and viewing. It makes use of WAP 2.0/x HTML, HTML (Net Front) Browser to surf the internet through the mobile device itself.

For entertainment purpose W810i has a Stereo FM radio with RDS, MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player and Video player. It comes in two basic colors Satin Black and Fusion White. It does not have support for GPS Service but is loaded with applications such as T9 technology for messaging assistance, Picture editor, Organizer, Voice memo and Sync ML.

W810i is available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 8900. Overall W810i has got good features and a decent look but there are other phones available in the market, which have the looks and the features to make W810i seem very ordinary.
