Sony Ericsson W830i as the name suggests is a Walkman phone. It has slide opening mechanism. Announced in September 2006, Sony Ericsson W830i works on 2G network on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. W830i has specifications of 98 x 47 x 21 mm. It comes in Precious Black and Golden White colors. Thus Sony Ericsson W830i is a sophisticated phone with a cool look. Sony Ericsson W830i weighs 116 grams. It may not be the lightest of phones but the with the features that it has got, the weight thing can easily be over looked.

Sony Ericsson W830i applications include GRPS of Class 10 with a speed of 32-48 kbps. It is EDGE enabled Class 10 with a speed of 236.8 kbps. Connectivity wise Sony Ericsson W830i is not far behind. It has Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. Is has Infrared too. It can be connected to the PC using USB.  Thus the user can share music, photos and other files with friends at great speed.

Sony Ericsson W830i features include SMS, MMS and Email facility. One can browse the internet using WAP 2.0/HTML (NetFront), RSS feeds. It also has Stereo FM radio with RDS. Sony Ericsson W830i is a Java enabled phone with MIDP 2.0. S302 has a Walkman 2.0 music player. Also other great features include TrackID music recognition. And for those who love to add flavor to life by means of change, W830i has exchangeable covers.

Just when one starts believing that W830i was simply a music phone, the manufactures have added a camera too. Sony Ericsson W830i has a 2 MP camera with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. It also has a LED flash. Thus enabling the user to take snapshots at night too. It also has a video recording facility.

Sony Ericsson W830i has a Standard Li-Po 900 mAh battery. It has a Stand-By time up to 350 hours and Talk Time of 7 hours. Thus battery life is good.

Sony Ericsson W830i is priced at Rs 14000. Thus the last word is W830i is a compact mobile phone, a Walkman music player and a digital camera, all in one perfect package. The features truly justify the price.
