How often does it happen that you give a look to a phone and then turn back to have a second glance? Well, it certainly will hold true in the case of Sony Ericsson Z555. It has got awesome looks.  Design wise it is similar to W380, only the edges are more rounded. A diamond-like pattern has been given to the relief, giving Z55 a sophisticated look. The front panel is very beautiful with the camera, followed by the speaker and then OLED display.

Announced in January 2008, Sony Ericsson Z555 works on 2G network on GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Since it works on quad band it is globally operational. Sony Ericsson Z555 has specifications of 95 x 49 x 16.5 mm. Z555 weighs just 95 grams. Thus, Z555 is a slim phone which you can take out of our pocket and take a snapshot whenever you like and with utmost ease and comfort. And believe me people will smile more out of envy than to pose for the camera.

Sony Ericsson Z555 has a display of TFT type, 256K colors with a screen resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, 1.9 inches. Z555 has a Second external OLED, mono display with 128 x 36 pixels. Z555 comes in Diamond Black and Dusted Rose colors. All this gives Sony Ericsson Z555 a sophisticated and cool look.

Sony Ericsson Z555 has an internal memory of 12 MB. This is enough to store to 1000 phone book entries with 20 fields in each. It also can store up to 30 entries for Missed, Received and Dialed calls each. The memory can be expanded up to 8GB using Memory Stick Micro (M2). Thus one can store more than 600 songs depending upon the length of the songs.

Sony Ericsson Z555 applications include GPRS and EDGE, both of class 10. Z555 also has Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. It also has a USB port for file transfer. Thus connectivity wise it has all the features that a multi media phone should have.

Sony Ericsson Z555 features include SMS, MMS and Email facility. Z555 also has a FM radio. It is a Java enabled phone with MIDP 2.0. Z555 has a MP3 player. One can browse the net with WAP 2.0/xHTML, RSS reader.

Now speaking about the camera. Sony Ericsson Z555 has a 1.3 MP camera with a resolution of 1280×1024 pixels. It however, does not have a video recording facility.

Sony Ericsson Z555 has a Standard 930 mAh Li-Ion battery. It has got a Stand–By time of 360 hours and a Talk Time of 8 hours and 20 minutes. Thus the battery life is good, infact better than Sony Ericsson S302.

Sony Ericsson Z555 is priced at Rs. 7000. Thus Z555 might be a good choice for those looking for an affordable camera phone. Bottom line, Camera as well as good music quality at a very low price and a mind boggling style quotient. It’s tough to find a phone with these attributes at such low price with the quality backing of Sony Ericsson.
